The early version of the game we played already has a working interface that nests most major menus (such as your character's inventory and skills) along the top of the screen, while including a mini-map in the bottom-right corner of the screen and your combat menu at the bottom center of the screen. In the PC version of the game, by default, you use your W, A, S, and D keys to move as you would in a first-person shooter, and you also use your Q, E, and your number keys 1 to 3 to perform melee weapon attacks, which include a forward thrust (the 2 key), overhand diagonal slashes (1 and 3 keys), and horizontal slashes (Q and E); all five buttons are also represented onscreen as labeled icons. When you begin your career, you'll have no real skill in combat, though your enemies will also be weaklings. |

It seems that many of us are interested in the upcoming release of Age of Conan (AoC) and the world of Hyboria. Before you immerse yourself in the world of Robert E. Howard there are a few things that should be considered. |

There are two kinds of people, those willing to give everything it takes to success and those who fail. This holds true all the time for daily life in Hyboria, the Age of Conan. Many people can take an AoC character through months of endless questing and grinding to reach the level cap, while some accomplish the same thing in the matter of weeks. |

Age of Conan contains amazing graphics, a revolutionary combat system, siege wars! Doesn't this sound like a surefire success? Well it would be, if any of that was true. The graphics are pretty amazing, if you can afford a computer capable of running it. Even players on top of the line computers are having extreme difficulty running it, even with the visual settings turned all the way down. The models are very human-like but they are missing the same little things that make them look like dolls that every game messes up. Texture issues make some of the model's hair look like a wig and shine way too much. I guess the graphics are good if you can afford to run them and can stand playing as a doll. |

Jonric: First of all, to introduce yourself to our readers, what you are doing on the Age of Conan - Hyborian Adventures project, and how long you have been working on it? Gaute Godager: Hello! My name is Gaute Godager. I am the Game Director of Age of Conan - Hyborian Adventures. My job is to be in charge of the game's creative vision and direction. The Hyborian world - the dark, mysterious and brutal universe of Conan, for the people not knowing that - gripped my imagination more than 25 years ago, and you could say I have been letting it mull in my mind for all that time, envisioning how I (and others) could explore, adventure in and rule that universe. I have been working on this game for a bit over two years now. |

Where is the cheap power leveling for AOC? Here it is.When you powerleveling the aoc,you will find that grinds out the fixes.Mounts come in for some more attention, Necromancers get a round of buffs, a host of quests are fixed or revamped, some of the sluggish female animations are addressed, and in short, we're impressed. |

Thought of a new name for the title! I am still finding out new features in this game. A lot of the features are kind of "stealthed" into the game. So I'm going to just put the spotlight on some features out there, make them known, and also try to to just make this a help guide with common questions! You don't have to like it, if it helps you, then I'm glad. |

Just thought I'd throw this out there, since I hadn't seen anything letting the incoming new folks in on what there is. Nothing spectacular, but deserves to be put out there. If I miss something, Post it, and I'll add to this OP. |

Most of us on the dev team have been playing the game, and its been nice to see the different things people talk about on the OOC channel and hear peoples feedback. |
